What Kind Of Exercises Can I Do To Get My Speed Back Up Besides Sprints?

Yes i know sprints are good for getting my speed back (i’m going back to competitive soccer after an injury) but in addition to those, what other exercises can i do?

    I’m a fellow soccer player and I know coming back from an injury is the worst.
    In all honesty, sprints can be great, be not many people know that long distance running actually increases your speed as well. If you go on distance runs nightly, you will see your acceleration and overall running speed increase.
    Also, running uphill is another great way. Find a big hill by your house, or in the area and train running half way up the hill, and back down again. Next round go ALL the way up the hill, and back down. Continue to do intervals of these and you should see some improvement.
