I used to only bench 140 pounds and squat 225 pounds in 9th grade, and now 4 years later, as a college freshman, I bench 290 pounds, and squat over 415 pounds.  That is how to gain muscle mass, and along the way, you will also gain tone, if you watch what you eat, and take protein.</description>
