wall squats– hold the position for 1 minute, rest, then do it again 10 more times…if you do this 4-5 times a week, you should tone your leg muscles quite nicely.

You can work the arms and chest with push-ups. You can work the legs with a rubber bicycle tire tube. Put it over your ankle and the other end over a table leg. You can kick back away from the table, turn you back to the table and kick forward, or turn to the side and move you leg out. If you hang a pipe from your basement rafters you can do pull-ups. Crunches can be used to strengthen the abs. Lay on your stomach, with a towel rolled and place under your waste, and lift the right leg and left arm at the same time, then the left leg and right arm, etc. to strengthen the back muscles. If you hold a large soup can in your hand, bend at the waste with your arm hanging down, and then straighten your arm behind you, that will work you triceps. A large, heavy book can be pressed over head to work the shoulders. Don’t forget, if you don’t have heavy weights……do lots of reps instead.
