For each type of exercise I do about 3 sets of 12 reps. So how many exercises should I do per muscle group for best results?

tightening your stomache while doing a situp is worse than just doing a situp it makes you burn faster which is good your muscles are getting a workout..
instead of just walking or running tighten your muscles while your doing it you’ll notice how much harder it is to do it – to lose weight you have to keep at it and build muscle.
3-4 depends how tired you are. If you’re damn near exhausted before the 4th set, then don’t do it. Injuries happen that way.
3 to 4 is good enough.
the 12 reps is good, but depending on how strong u are i would say 5-10 sets
